The Dream Rocket

I am proudly participating in and promoting The Dream Rocket project. It is a collaboration with people all over the world created by the International Fiber Collective, inc. creating the largest quilt ever! Currently the project is in production. This means that individuals and groups, such as schools and the scouts, from all over the world are busy creating panels of fabric about their dreams. They are sewing, painting, quilting one foot square panels expressing any dream they have. Those panels and ideas are then traveling all over and being shared and shown in museums, libraries, schools, etc. Eventually, the panels will be sewn together to cover a Saturn V rocket on display at the NASA Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Anyone can participate. It is an amazing project. Check it out at: thedreamrocket.com and get dreaming/participating!
Here's an excerpt of what I wrote about the panel: "...So my dream for the future is wrapped up in the idea of abundance, the abundance of almost anything we can share with each other in order to end poverty, encourage health, push for the positive progress of science and technology, grow our communities, spread the value of peace, etc. I believe that the abundance of the unique gifts each of us brings to our lives, when shared with others, is the most promising foundation for a better world o come. In this way, my dream is for a better tomorrow by working each day with what all of us can contribute for a better today."
I can't wait to see the final installation! Having graduated from high school in Huntsville and been to Space Camp, it is exciting to know a project like this is now a part of Hunstville and the Space and Rocket Center.
